Review:

This is a very average movie about a 28 year old woman who has a tough time making the right decisions in her life. Whilst at her best friends wedding, her boyfriend proposes to her but she doesn't really know if she wants to get married him. She then sees her dad kissing another woman so she escapes the wedding and bumps into a group of teenagers who need a adult to buy them alcohol. She then ends up spending the whole night with the teenagers so she can escape her real life and when she gets back indoors, she agrees to marry her boyfriend, as long as it's away from her so-called best friends who she really can't relate to. She then decides to go away for a while so she can get her head together, so she stays with one of the teenagers, acting like she is her school friend. Its a bit of a tricky situation because the teenagers dad (Rockwell) hasn't got a clue who the girl in his house is, but he soon finds out her true identity and ends up falling for her. Anyway, the acting isn't bad, especially as I'm a big Rockwell fan but the storyline is weak and quite far fetched. There isn't much depth to the characters and Knightley just seems to be drifting through life without a care in the world. Everyone keeps on telling her that she has to get a career but she keeps on lying her way through situations, which eventually catches up with her. Although the film deals with some serious issues, it's basically an upbeat movie which has a corny ending but I honestly think that the director wasted the cast. Average! .

Round-Up:

I know that I shouldn't be saying this, but Kiera Knightley really does need to eat some food. The wardrobe department should have tried to cover up her bones! That aside, I did like the chemistry between the characters and the cast was a great choice by the director, but the movie didn't have anywhere to go after a while. Personally I felt sorry for Knightley's boyfriend who really didn't do anything wrong throughout the movie but he ended up getting hurt the most. On the plus side, the film does cover a few elements, like the teenage love story, the father cheating on his wife and the kid that is dealing with his parents divorce but the director only touched on those issues. At the end of the day it's just a light-hearted comedy about a girl seeking for happiness in her life.

Budget: N/A.

Worldwide Gross: $1.8million.

I recommend this movie to people who are into their comedy/drama/romance films about a girl who stays with a teenager to try and work out what to do with her life. 4/10.
