Review of Lagerfeld Confidential (2007) by Ian L — 06 Dec 2007
I went to see his doco because I love fashion and haute couture. I only knew about Largerfield's work but nothing of his life. I am always suspicious of people who hide behind sunglasses. His clothes suggest a formal control freak.
The man we saw in this portrait was a deep thinker, a fun loving loyal friend, risk taker and the loved leader of the chanel fashin house. Not only did he design the collection but from 1987 he photgraphed them.
In 2007 he used a digit camera that was hooked to a large screen lap top. He took a big screen lap top into the field and each photo was assessed by his art director on the stop, thus avoiding call backs for models.
I enjoyed the doco much more than I had anticipated.
