Review of Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006) by Ben M — 01 Sep 2007

I did not like this as much as the acclaim for it. I have not been the biggest Gandhi fan in terms of his plitics but this film genuinely feels nice, the problem is maybe the dialogue, the first part especially, it just feels like the kind of dialogue that is killing the industry, artificial or superficial.

The last few scenes is really nice, emotionally and particularly the one where he gets tested for Gandhi's presence, but I just can't help feeling that this film had the potential to be brilliant, but lost it.
