Review of Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001) by Sakina R — 12 Jun 2007
Aside from my somewhat obsessive love of cricket, this movie is still exhilarating. Details the history of India and Pakistan(at the time it was one country) and the way the imperial powers treated the locals.
It may not be historically accurate but it comes pretty close. Aside from that, the story and the acting are still amazing and great to watch. Most of all, it's a cricket movie, and that's what makes it so great.
