Review of Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001) by David H — 08 Aug 2007
My first Indian movie introduced to me by my wife and In-laws. It blows away the stereotype of Western views of a "Bollywood" movie - all music and dancing. It is very long - channel 4 once showed it in two halves over a weekend but even so it was compelling viewing.
The ending is a brilliant piece of film making.
