Review of Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001) by Mark K — 09 Aug 2007
Hey, it's Bollywood for Angrezi people who don't understand dancing or singing! But made by Indians, so it doesn't really bow to realism - it's stuffed with anachronisms for example. This has some great moments, particularly the line 'They've only got one batsman left and it looks like he's severely disabled'.
Face facts, India: you can't play sports and white women aren't interested in you.
