Review of Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001) by Elliot R — 08 Jan 2008

I'm not a cricket fan in the slightest, but you don't need to understand it to get the film. There's romance, great singing and dancing (and I can't stand Bollywood movies), and ultimately a thoroughly entertaining story about the Indians giving the British colonial cronies a good what for by playing cricket.

My eyes always water up when I watch this film (must be dust, obviously...). Recommended.
