Review of Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001) by Megan B — 16 Feb 2009

This is one sports movie that I actually like. I'm not a big fan of sports films because I find different kinds of battles other than football matches to be moving.

Here, I cared intensely about the cricket match. The prize was not glory or a big and shiny trophy, but simply the chance to survive and thrive.

I also LOVED the music. Every song and theme piece conveyed all the emotional intensity of the characters beautifully. I wish itunes had it.
