Review of Ladyhawke (1985) by Jocelyn T — 25 Nov 2007
This is another movie which has been one of my favorites since I was 4 or 5 years old (my goofy grandparents would let me watch anything, it's a wonder I'm normal). By modern standards, yes, the score is cheesy and out-of-place, yet every time I hear it, I get chills.
The villians were suitably evil, and the heroes were good people who were still very human. Hauer and Pfeiffer were well matched, the costuming was simple and effective, and the story carried you from beginning to end.
