Review of Ladyhawke (1985) by Andrea G — 26 May 2009
Decent movie but horrible music that totally clashed with the theme. I am disappointed I built this movie up in my head after it got recommended to by by Netflix. The plot seemed very interesting and had the potential to be a great movie if done right.
Besides being slow I disliked Matthew Broderick; he annoys me for the most part except when he plays Ferris Bueller. I was not so thrilled with Rutger Hauer either...he sort of reminded me of a blonde version of creepy Rufus Sewell with a pinch of Robert Redford.
I disliked Michelle Pfieffer's hair being short and feathery too because as beautiful as she is it made her look kind of boyish and weird for Medieval times. I'm sure the hair was a symbol of her being a hawk in the day but to me it was overkill.
