Matthew broderick's character (the mouse?) narrates the story line as he wends his way thru risky situations until you find out that this is actually a love story involving rutger hauer, cursed to change into a wolf at when the sun goes down, and michelle pfeiffer, cursed to change into a hawk when the sun comes up.
the mouse meets them and is put in charge of helping michelle pfeiffer (isabeau) by rutger hauer, whose character must have had a commonplace name or i'd recall it. this movie grows on you.
