Review of Lady Vengeance (2005) by Dan L — 07 Jan 2009
This movie was the slowest starter of the series for me. It was a while before I really connected with me and it was around the time of the dinner table scene that the whole thing got driven home - so to speak.
But through the reserve and demure aspects that she shows, it just builds up as the weakest victem becomes the strongest tiger. In a way, I think that this movie of the set has the most real sense of vengence to it in the way that it is bought about.
The villan in Oldboy's trip is strictly psycho, and that doesn't apply to any of the characters here. The whole metting out of justice is played very well, and while not as frentic as the others is more moral.
I think that it is a fine peice of the puzzle, and to my way of thinking it is the most philosophical of the three.
