Review of Lady Vengeance (2005) by Camden N — 14 Feb 2010
More interesting and entertaining than Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, but not as good as Oldboy. It seemed to me that at times the film was more confusing than it needed to be due to odd editing choices. While I certainly don't want to encourage experimentation in film, I felt it only served here to confuse the story and leave me scratching my head.
Overall it's still a pretty solid work that, like the others in the "trilogy", consistently defies your expectations and features some surprisingly poignant, human moments amidst the jet black humor.
