Review of Lady Vengeance (2005) by Richard C — 25 Aug 2009
Ties with Oldboy as the best film in the Vengeance trilogy. Though, it's on a different level - it's stylish and unexpected and most of the "disturbing" scenes have the audience participating as opposed to being victims of.
Strong storyline and the dark humor balances with family matters perfectly. Starts a bit slow, then the twists make their appearance. The characters I was supposed to like I liekd, the characters I was supposed to hate I hated.
It accumulates to substantial and previously unexplored greatness.
