It's not one of Shyamalan's best works and there's definite room for improvement in the script, but Lady in the Water manages to be a surprisingly fun and entertaining Fantasy film that benefits from the talents of Paul Giamatti and Bryce Dallas Howard, as well as some intriguing special effects and a spiritually moving direction.
