Review of Lady in the Water (2006) by Rachel Leann B — 24 Jun 2010
After "The Village" (which I still haven't seen), M. Night Shyamalan comes back with a whopper of a movie... though one, most of the critics who didn't like The Village, still didn't like [this one]. I for one am and have always been a fan of any and everything Night has done, whether I've seen his films or not (cause the ones I haven't seen, which after this is only 2 now, I still want to see despite the negative criticism on both). My favorite of his films is still Unbreakable but this comes in at a close second. And man, has it been forever since I've seen Signs.
Loved the characters, story, and ending (which wasn't a twist, incase you're wondering) to Lady in the Water. I've been very impressed with everything Bryce Dallas Howard has done so far, as well. She's turning out to be a favorite of mine just like her dad. :).
On a side note: I knew exactly who Reggie was going to turn out to be the minute all of the characters were described in the story to help "Story" get back home.
