Review of Lady in the Water (2006) by Robert A — 21 Feb 2011
I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this just yet. It's imaginative. At times I got a Neverending Story vibe, but maybe that's just because of the wolf-ish monster. But maybe there is more to it than just that.
The cast is just fine. That acting was fine as well. No complaints from me. In the end I felt like there was something there to it all, but couldn't help but feel it was also a little silly. Either way, I think this is a nice addition to Shyamalan's film catalog.
Call me crazy but I think he still has some good movies up his sleeve. He's only 40-41. Should be interesting to see what he makes next. I haven't seen The Happening, but I now want to check it out.
The Last Airbender I'm probably going to avoid forever, but if somehow I watch it, so be it.
