Review of Lady in the Water (2006) by Alex B — 26 Jul 2011
Had some nice ideas, but in the end it feels like nothing more than a response to the mixed reviews that The Village got. For example, Shymalan himself plays not just a writer, but a visionary who work will change the world.
Meanwhile, a film critic is portrayed as arrogant, snobby, and just a big douchebag. Way to be subtle with your messages and metaphors, Mr. Shyamalan.
