Review of Lady in the Water (2006) by Mikhail B — 14 Feb 2012
A fairy tale about a red-headed mermaid found in a condo pool and taken care by a kind lonely utility man. As he tries to return the poor creature back into the wild, he has to pick out a bunch of weird guys out of the normal condominium inhabitants each with one mission only: to either solve riddles, cure death, talk specific mermaid language, or protect from a fierce wolf-like beast, etc.
And, what a surprise, he does the trick. Poor script supports the poor performance, but the movie might be enough for the small kids' entertainment and Shyamalan sect devotees.
