Review of Lady in the Water (2006) by Richard D — 06 Feb 2011

A stupid stupid stupid plot and unconving dialouge makes Lady in the Water quite perposterous. I do wish M Night would come out of this awful movie phase, but I dont think he will. Lady in the Water is his second worst movie behind The Happening. It does have some talented actors, but what are they going to do with this horrible screenplay? Ill admit, it does have some funny moments. And its not unintentional funny, but really funny. I laughed at some of the witty jokes that would occur in this awful movie. But other than that, there is nothing else to like. James Newton Howards score is gripping and all, but I could barely pay attention to it because I was in awe at how awful this movie was.

The plot is about this apartment owner who sees a Nargel or something in his pool, so he goes to this random Asian family who randomly know the Asian bed time story, and so they have to connect all the pieces to the story to send her home. The nargels are sent to help people or whatever. Well thats the awful plot, mixed in with some cheesy and unbelievable lines, and you got Lady in the Water.
