Review of Lady in a Cage (1964) by Adam E — 01 Oct 2010
A great title like "Lady in a Cage" can only introduce a great film (or a really shitty one lol). And so it does! Olivia de Havilland stars as the titular lady who indeed gets stuck in a cage or, rather, a ridiculously slow cage-like elevator.
A very strange, unique, Hitchcockian film with great performances all around, especially by James Caan who excels as the heartless leader of the group of hoodlums who invade De Havilland's house. Undeniably the best film about a lady in a cage to date.
