I think the hard part of having a perfect score, is it sets viewers up thinking they are going to leave the theater in awe and amazement. Lady Bird was an interesting coming of age tale, but didn't hold my attention as well as I expected.
Honestly I found the main character, Lady Bird hard to identify with. She came off as whiny, extremely immature, and manipulative. And yes, that could describe many of today's teens. At the end of the day, I much preferred Hailee Steinfeld's performance in The Edge of Seventeen.
