Review of Lady Bird (2017) by Joel P — 11 Jan 2018
Greta Gerwig's Lady Bird is one of the best and realest films of 2017. It explores culture, dreams, teenage life and mother-daughter love story like I have never seen before. The script is extremely natural and the film really deserves its Golden Globes Best Comedy Film victory as well as Saoirse Ronan's best actress award. It would have been better if Greta herself was nominated as best director because it is really well directed, never lost track of what it wants to be as a coming-of-age movie.
Lady Bird is an A+.
