Review of Lady Bird (2017) by Eric G — 16 Feb 2018
One more coming of age American movie. It has its moments, some funny and some dramatic. It's well acted with a decent story. It's an ok film. Good entertainment. But it doesn't transcend the genre in the same way Boyhood has.
It's also so American that it lacks some universal appeal. Interesting, well acted, but an Oscar nomination? No.
