Review of Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure (2001) by Dee R — 27 Apr 2008
Disney knows what happens to a man who becomes a father:
They change from a cool, heroic stud into a boring piece of shit with a hernia in his back and with the ''sudden'' best for his children.
Becoming a dad also includes getting wisdom, it seems.
"Lady and the Tramp 2" is a good example of that. So is The Lion King 2.
Most people who know the first movie probably hated this sequel. But if they saw the ending of the first movie, anyone could have guessed the sequel would turn out to be like this.
It's all about the children now; parents aren't interesting.
I know the first movie very well, yet I like this one too.
What I don't like is Scamp's adult voice while he's supposed to be a young pup, and the fact he is trying to hump a female, adult dog just because she's the same height as he is.
Still, it is a nice movie with a good story.
The music is nice, even though (watched in Dutch) I think some songs are really badly sung.
Bad just like the lame dog sounds Scamp makes.
