Review of Lady and the Tramp (1955) by Dazzle M — 11 Feb 2012
In Marvelous 1080p HD quality. Lady and the Tramp is a marvelously rich animated film about one dog who is left out from her own family as they have a newborn baby and tends.
To run away into a dangerous world. A other dog named the tramp helps her out and "What Else?" they fall in love. This movie kinda is in the Christmas Genre of the film because some of the parts take place at winter. But I don't care about the genre of the film. I want to talk about the film itself. The Diamond Edition is 50/50 with the picture and sound quality. The animation is very rich throughout the film with only a few glitches with the animation here and there. Good but not Great songs that are memorable. The romance, feels to short. The thing is that they are together for like 5 minutes and then they are in love. Why such a rushed meet? I know the movie is 1h 15m long but I felt it could have been much longer. Thats another thing, at the third act, Lady finds out he's been with other dogs then tells him to GET OUT! Then 10 seconds later, a rat sneaks into the room and Lady tries to stop it but fails. Then Tramp comes back and she is like OMG THE RAT IS IN THE BABYS ROOM DO SOMETHING!! Wait, didn't you tell him to piss off 1 second ago? But thankfully, this doesn't bother me much. This is a great animated film but not one of my favorites. There is one more thing I wanted to talk about on the blu ray and that is the deleted scenes and song. Thats right. There is a unheard song, and 3 deleted scenes from storyboards. I want to talk about the deleted song where the tramp sings about his so called "Philosiphy." Its not that bad actually but its not worth putting into the film. Now the three dreadful deleted scenes. I forgot to mention in my Lion King Review about the deleted song sung by James Earl Jones that makes your ears bleed when you hear the tone and lyrics of it. This is what it would be like if there was no singing. These scenes are so damn long! Plus, the narrator who reads aloud from the storyboards sounds like it was written by a damn kindergratener. These scenes are awkward and feel like they weren't actually deleted scenes but something Disney put in for shits and giggles. I suggest getting the diamond editions of these films. But see if you can get the gift set with the kids bowl with cutlery.
86/100 B+.
