Review of Ladies in Lavender (2004) by Pedro P — 29 Jan 2008
An absolute delight from start to finish. Charming, elegant and engrossing. Careful and smartly written and superbly directed by the actor Charles Dance and filled with wonderful music and magnificent, subtle acting.
The joy of watching Judy Dench and Maggie Smith, one of cinema's greatest dames, perform their charming duet for nearly two hours makes the film even more fun and worthwhile.
