Review of Labyrinth (2012) by Caleb C — 19 Mar 2012
Updated: Seeing this again tonight on the big screen courtesey of my friend Karl who got free tickets for everyone, I have come to love this film all the more.. and the following is my review from the past which I edited a bit..
I loved the world that was created here. The music was something that I had to get used to once it started in the film and it grew on me. Bowie and Connelly (as a wee lass) where magical and wonderful in this. I felt like I was teleported back to my childhood when watching this (more so in the second viewing I'd say) . I think it would have scared me when it first came out though, being one year after my birth this was released. Although, the innocence of the film does make it safe for families even though, it does have some potty humor. It definetelt earns it's PG rating, but is not too intense for any kid over the age of 6, I would say. For anyone who wants to visit a magical and immaginative place, check out this film. It is a timeless classic indeed.
