Review of Labyrinth (2012) by Andrew A — 08 Apr 2012
Labyrinth is a hard movie for me to judge. If I were to give it a score solely based on nostalgia, it would definitely get a 5/5. Viewed today, it deserves about a 3/5. So, I will meet it half-way and give it a 4/5.
This movie absolutely screams 80's. It's creativity shines through in every scene, but it truly shows it's age. The acting also leaves a lot to be desired. Especially Jennifer Connelly. Might be her worst acting job of her career.
Those quibbles aside, Labyrinth is a nice trip down memory lane and is tons of fun. Just seeing the old Tri-Star ident at the beginning was worth popping this old movie in.
