Labyrinth doesn't really hold up the same way that a lot of my favorite movies from childhood, which are still my favorites. The Jim Henson/George Lucas/Bowie collaboration is extremely imaginative but it isn't the world's greatest.
I dig Dark Crystal more personally. Labyrinth features Jennifer Connelly going to a David Bowie ruled goblin world in order to save her baby brother. The puppetry is pretty damn sweet. The characters are likeable.
The songs are ok.
