Review of Labyrinth (2011) by David B — 24 Apr 2014
I grew up with this film on repeat, I can't help but love it. It's not perfect - the synthesized soundtrack makes it feel very dated and the whole thing is quite hammy - but the exquisite puppetry, lavish imagination and high production values make this a great family film.
It's definitely aimed at children as the ultimate threat is that of eternally smelling dreadful. That said, there is also the matter of David Bowie in tight leggings... Most importantly of all it's very good fun.
