Review of Labor Day (2013) by Howard S — 19 Mar 2014
It's not a family holiday getaway and continues with a sudden accident, terrorist attack or alien invasion that Hollywood film tends to be, but a total illogical and impossible idea being imposed as the beginning of the plot which slowly progresses into more than an hour of boring screenplay and melodrama, have totally wasted the good chemistry as well as performance of Josh Brolin and Kate Winslet.
The editing of some flashbacks in the film is great but unable to compensate the screenplay. The ending, however has surprised the audiences with some emotional happy moments.
