Labor Day(2014).

Written and Directed By:Jason Reitman.
My Review.
Apparently this movie was based on a novel, and it's one of those case were the book was actually quite good but the movie is a little disappointing, especially if your like me and you like the two lead actors Josh Brolin and Kate Winslet. I went into this movie not reading novel but just now found out that the novel was better then this movie, I even found out it was based on the novel when the credits rolled not in any advertisement or trailers.
The film is narrated by Wheeler as an adult( portrayed by Tobey Maguire) telling the story of his thirteen year old life when his mother and him help a fugitive who is charged for murder. His mother(Kate Winslet)and Frank form a bond and fall in love.
This movie is good but the pacing is slow and can become boring at times. They didn't even have chemistry(Kate Winslet & Josh Brolin) I honestly did not believe what they had was real because they never looked happy. If I don't see happiness between the two characters that are suppose to be in love then I can't feel anything, and I always want to feel something when I see the film's genres are drama and romance.
The acting though is actually good from Kate Winslet, Josh Brolin, Clark Gregg, and Tobey Maguire but other than that I didn't think anyone was believable or enjoyable to watch on screen. No one left a lasting impact like I would want in a drama or romance.
The movie looks like a well made drama but it just ends up being one of the most slow UN-entertaining movies to start with in this new year which is a disappointment for me I give this Labor Day weekend a 1 1/2 out of 5.
