Review of Labor Day (2013) by Livia P — 02 Feb 2014
Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin deliver mediocre performances, but they try their best with the material. The script is very predictable and sometimes, repetitive. It often feels rushed. "Labor Day" lacks character development.
Adele, Frank, and Henry are two dimensional characters. The music is overdramatic. It is sloppily edited, especially during the flashbacks. The pacing is mostly consistent though.
