Review of Labor Day (2013) by Nizar E — 15 Apr 2014
This is a rather plodding romantic drama, which is more sugary sweet than the Peach pie they make. Quite simply Frank (Josh Brolin) is a convict on the run after escaping whilst in hospital. He forces Adele (Kate Winslet) and her son Hank (Gattlin Griffith) to offer him refuge. Anyway to cut to the chase, Frank isn't your average convict, throw in a touch of Stockholm Syndrome and that wraps up the film.
It's definitely one for those that like tosh like "The Lake House", and the shit Matthew McConaughey used to star in before he realised they only pay bills but don't win you awards.
