**MARK's 12 Days of Video Rental Reviews - Day 7** What 'Ray' was to an American soul legend, 'La Vie En Rose' was to a legendary French chanteuse. Like 'Ray', it explores the private moments that led to their stardom, childhood moments that shaped the adults and overall was a great story, interlaced with episodes of fantasy and great production numbers featuring music from her storied career.
Worth the watch but, be prepared to pay attention (the movie is in French with subtitles) and to see some of the same conventions from other biopics...
