Review of La Vie en Rose (2007) by Arundhati S — 21 Jun 2010
LA VIE EN ROSE.
I love Edith Piaf's voice. She was an incredible talent and her life was far from a tragedy although terribly sad at times especially when she was a young child, for example. Marion Cotillard gives a passionate portrayal of the strong, feisty woman who was such a tremendous singer despite her diminutive size and many personal struggles. But I didn't care for this movie because I think that the biopic could have been handled better. There was something missing in it for me. It's hard to put my finger on it, but it just didn't seem to gel as a whole.
