I was a bit skeptical at first, but it didn't take me long to see how truly amazing this movie is. It's completely breath-taking and intense. While you learn a bit more about the life of Edif Pief, you are going to get moved by her triumphs and falls, and not to mention the extraordinary performance of Marion Cotillard as La Mome.
As you would expect the music is perfect and you will fall in love with every song. Sadness and life come together in the journey of Edith Pief to become a star, and you will see in first hand all her sorrow from her childhood till her last breath.
