Review of La Petite Jérusalem (2005) by Parita C — 26 Jun 2007
Interesting take on traditional Jewish family living in the outskirts of Paris, and how the two sisters in the family reconcile their faith with the world they live in. Laura, the younger sister, falls in love with a Muslim, which is an impossibility for the both of them.
The plot gets a little silly/melodramtic at times, but generally worthwhile. (cannes film selection).
