Review of La Orca (1976) by Billy G — 09 Nov 2012
A good multiple storyline heist-gangster flick. The characters were enjoyable and were played by actors talented enough to make me care about some of them. Brad Pitt is fittingly demented as the bare knuckle pikey, and Jason Statham is cool in his role. Snatch is chaotic, yet still coherent enough to enjoy without the movie becoming a mindless mobfest.
Is it just me, or did Smoking Aces want to be this and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels really badly?
