Review of La La Land (2016) by Andrey B — 10 May 2017
Definitely one of the most memorable pictures of 2016. I earnestly tried to find any reason to not give it a 5-star rating, just out of principle, but I couldn't. I don't like musicals but this is one of those rare examples that proves that a quality movie is beyond genres.
It's also a rare example of a movie with soul, a movie that touches you deep and lingers for a long time with its majestic love story and even a drop of realism. I won't even say about technical sides of it.
This movie will be remembered and loved for a long time, probably will become a classic.
