Apart from being stupidly cliche, everything is beautifully seamless in La La Land. The emotions flicker through the seasons, the songs skip & drag with the characters mood, and both Gosling & Stone deliver the performance of a lifetime.
Everything is a metaphor in this silly, soulful throwback to Hollywood's infatuation with hope & desire.
