Review of La Haine (1995) by Matthew F. J — 30 Jun 2015
What an amazing film! From the camera work to the choices of narratives, this film is probably one of the best of it's genre. Tensed, hard, visually striking , this is a film done with a lot of guts, heart and passion.
Great cast, amazing locations and a cinematography to die for, this film will surprise you and take you on a 24 hours insane ride in the life of these three very different but close friends. This is a film of a generation, the mid 90's seen through the eyes of a man who has an incredible talent as a film maker and a story teller.
... rarely a film with such content was shot with such brilliance and poised. What a punch!
