Review of La Dolce Vita (1960) by Alessia B — 31 Oct 2008
What a better way of celebrating my return from Rome than watching this? Full of memorable moments, not just the Trevvi Fountain sequence but also Christ flying over the city, the children seeing the Madonna etc, etc.
It is Fellini's most enjoyable (and for me at least) and memorable film. It remains creating a perfect film for a perfect time in a perfect place such as Woody Allen's Manhattan or Danny Boyle's Trainspotting.
Rome would never be recaptured this brilliantly again.
