Review of La Dolce Vita (1960) by Jorge C — 09 Jan 2009
A philosophical surrealist experience. Marcello is a character one will either admire, pity or relate too, either way it's hard to distance ourselves from what he feels his life is all about... what is it all about anyway? I always felt that a great peace of art asked more questions than it cared to answer, this is one of them.
It's useless to try an figure out what is the point of this plot, it's far to grand, all you need to know is that days, maybe weeks after the titles role you'll still be asking yourself dozens of questions about the movie, and probably yourself.
Oh yeah the music is FANfuckingTASTIC too.
