Review of L.A. Confidential (1997) by Colin T — 20 May 2011
The first half of this imaginative buddy cop epic is mature, character driven, and just about perfect. It sorta falls apart after that. Or at least it goes in a direction I'd rather it hadn't. I couldn't take it totally seriously by the end, as much as I wanted to be able to, but this is still a dang fine and memorable movie.
