Review of L.A. Confidential (1997) by Nick E — 26 Jan 2013
A very well made and interesting mafia type film. this movie created the stereotypical cheif of police plot twist but even today I didn't see it coming. the film does a good job of keeping the life and death rationel realistic.
when kevin spacey died I could not believe what I had just witnessed, movies just didn't keep death as realistic as this movie did you never felt that invisible sheild around the main character. A major problem I had was Russell Crow once again not doing his character justice.
I needed more anger and hurt from this very anger driven character he just didn't deliver. overall it is a great movie and is a must see for investigative movie fans.
