Review of L.A. Confidential (1997) by Keegan K — 01 Sep 2013
LA confidential definitely proves why it is an endearing classic, featuring a very complex storyline and a great cast of actors. It tells the story of a group of LAPD officers in 1953, and the intersection of police corruption and Hollywood celebrity.
The amount of corruption in this movie is insane and it takes a while as a viewer to figure out who is actually behind everything. The three main cops and the prostitute are very likable. The throwback to the 1950s with the music, locations, and attention to detail, also make this a wonderful time piece worth seeing again when you want a long, serious cop drama.
