Review of L.A. Confidential (1997) by Petros T — 03 Nov 2013
It takes some time to catch up with the atmosphere, characters and incidents, but, when you do, you realise you're watching a great film. The cast is grand, with the protagonistic trio (Pearce, Spacey and Crowe) arguably standing out; the photography masterfully naturalistic.
But, above all, it's a superbly written film: a terrific crime mystery but with strong characterization as well.
