Review of L.A. Confidential (1997) by Siamak Z — 03 Jun 2011
A film noir with an ensemble cast with great performances. There are 3 cops; each has become a cop for a different reason, and with a different interpretation of the job. Their psychology and the "good cop, bad cop" themes are very nicely depicted.
The labyrinthine plot with multiple storylines, culminating at a satisfactory ending, is another reason for multiple viewings.
Rating: PG-13 (official R) & 12 (NL).
